new build 2 FE broad spectrum primary special education need (SEN) school co-located with a newly built mainstream primary school. cws is designed for 112 pupils with PD’s, MLD’s and SLD’s and for approximately 80 staff. all classrooms have sunlight from two sides and a hybrid ventilation system allowing natural air circulation. the main heating is provided via radiant ceiling panels. the school has many special environments: hydrotherapy pool areas, soft play area, studio sensory room, hall, large group room, withdraw areas, library area, multi purpose dining areas, medical areas, kitchen, a sensory garden and partially weather protected outdoor play areas. pool areas, hygiene suites and some toilet areas are fitted with a specialist hoist system.
